ABS-CBN content showing soon on MRT, LRT train screens

MANILA – ABS-CBN News will soon provide quality content for train commuters after it signed a deal with international media and marketing firm PHAR Partnerships Inc for the first in-train TV network called TUBE.

With over 1,000 TUBE screens installed in the LRT and MRT lines, content such as news, weather reminders, traffic updates and short entertainment videos will soon be available to commuters, ABS-CBN said.

TUBE is a real-time passenger information system approved by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the country’s leading media and entertainment company said.

The system employs a GPS/location-based system with CCTV cameras to keep passengers updated on interruptions, emergencies and the train’s route map.
