MANILA — A brewing storm or low pressure area will bring rains over Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
The weather system was spotted 520 kilometers east southeast of General Santos City at 3 a.m., said PAGASA.
Its trough or extension may spawn floods and landslides in the Visayas and Mindanao, it said.
The weather disturbance is unlikely to intensify into a storm and is expected to dissipate in 36 hours, said PAGASA weather specialist Ariel Rojas.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience hot and humid weather that may be interrupted by rains in the afternoon or evening, he said.
