MANILA — California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) continues its annual celebration of everything pizza this month.

Now on its eighth year, the pizza chain welcomes National Pizza Days on August 13-15 with five exclusive flavors that embody the spirit of California cool and creativity.

These National Pizza Days specials are so exclusive that they aren’t even on the menu. The only way to get them is to order either a regular original hand-tossed or crispy thin crust pizza and guests get one of these National Pizza Days pizza for free.

The new pizzas feature healthy twists and strong flavors from Italy and Mexico, all baked on the CPK hearth ovens with their proprietary pizza dough.

1. Quorn Alfredo Pizza

Thick chunks of Quorn, broccoli florets, tomatoes, mozzarella and romano top this cream-sauced pizza. If you’re curious about this meat substitute, it has the familiar taste and texture of chicken making this a healthy meatless pizza.

2. Garlic Chips and Basil Pizza

This looks like a simple pizza but combining the sweetness from caramelized onions, the slight heat and crunch of garlic chips, fresh tomatoes, and the peppery aromatics of basil make this a winning pie.

3. Italian Sausage and Sundried Tomato

For heftier appetites, this traditional Italian pizza has savory Italian sausage, sun-dried tomato, parmesan and mozzarella cheese over Bolognese sauce.

4. Beef Chipotle Salsa Pizza

CPK doesn’t hold back the heat with this Mexican pizza. CPK regulars may recognize the purple tortilla chips that top this pizza alongside lime crema, chipotle salsa, beef, and a mozzarella-Velveeta cheese mix.

5. Thai Chicken Curry Pizza

This year’s National Pizza Days also welcome the new management of California Pizza Kitchen, which is now under Pi Company, Inc. The new owners are now singularly focused on the expanding and further modernizing operations in the country.

Franchising is also part of the plan to bring more CPK branches in and beyond Metro Manila.

As part of improving the customer experience, CPK has also collaborated with GCash to accept online payments starting this month.
