MANILA – Gerald Anderson thinks he must have done something right in his life to deserve the love he’s receiving from the people close to his heart, especially from his girlfriend Bea Alonzo.

Speaking on “Magandang Buhay” on Monday, Anderson said Alonzo has consistently been his source of inspiration because she sticks with him no matter what.

“Mahirap akong partner kasi katulad nito, ang dami kong ginagawa. Ang dami kong gustong marating. Sana maipagpatuloy ko pa ang ginagawa ko ngayon. Hindi iyan madali kapag may relationship ka. But ‘yung support na binibigay niya sa akin, walang kapalit. Parang unbelievable. ‘Yung ibang na-achieve ko, hindi ko rin magagawa kung hindi dahil sa kanya so sobrang thankful ako,” he said.

During his birthday last March 7, Alonzo posted a throwback photo of her with Anderson, recalling the first time she fell in love with the actor. In that post, Alonzo called Anderson her “great love story.”

When asked to react to the “Eerie” actress’ sweet post, Anderson said: “Sobrang naramdaman ko na may ginagawa akong tama sa buhay ko… Grabe ‘yung appreciation din niya para sa akin. Grabe din ‘yung appreciation ko para sa kanya.”

After a short-lived relationship in 2010, Alonzo and Anderson rekindled their relationship in 2016 when they co-starred in the movie “How to Be Yours.”

In 2018, rumors surfaced that the two have called it quits. Last October, Alonzo confirmed that she has given Anderson a second chance.

Despite the challenges they have encountered in their relationship, Anderson believes “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

“’Yung mga pagsubok na ‘yun, kahit hindi man sa relasyon o sa totoong buhay, kunyari sa workout… kailangan niyo panindigan. Kailangan niyo magtulungan,” he said.

While Alonzo did a nine-year throwback, Anderson was asked how he sees his life nine years from now.

“Siyempre sana may pamilya na. Sana mas maraming gym. Gusto natin na stable, may family ako, may mga maliliit na ako or siya (Alonzo). Ako ang pangarap ko sana four babies,” he said.

According to Anderson, everything that’s happening in his life now is unexpected and this fills his heart with nothing but gratefulness.

“Masaya. Sobrang grateful ako sa sitwasyon ko sa buhay ngayon. Noong nagte-taping pa kami ng ‘Aalog-alog’ or nung pagkalabas ko ng ‘PBB,’ hindi ko in-expect na ito ‘yung magiging sitwasyon ko kapag 30 years old na ako. Seventeen ako nung nag-start. But that’s one thing na you have to realize. Kahit anong mangyari, dapat maging mabuting tao,” he said.
