Joshua Pacio crowned himself the new ONE strawweight champion
by decisioning Japan’s Yoshitaka “Nobita” Naito in the main
event of in ONE: Conquest of Heroes at Jakarta Convention
Center on Saturday.
Using his improved grappling skills, Pacio was able to
frustrate by taking a unanimous decision over Naito in their
much awaited rematch.
The two first met in 2016, when the Japanese was able to submit

decision victory over “Little Piranha” Yuya Wakamatsu.
Kingad fought back from a first-round knockdown by scoring
several takedowns in the succeeding rounds; at one point, he

In the preliminaries, Filipina atomweight fighter Jomary Torres
suffered her first defeat when she yielded to Indonesia’s
Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol.
Priscilla controlled the fight by deflecting most of Torres’
takedown attempts and sniping the Filipina with various
strikes, thus securing a unanimous decision win.
