MANILA – The southwest monsoon or habagat will dampen northern and Central Luzon on Sunday, the state weather bureau said.
Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms brought by the southwest monsoon, PAGASA said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will, meanwhile, experience isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said Typhoon Krosa was still outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) 1,945 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon as of 3 a.m.
It was not expected to enter PAR, according to PAGASA weather specialist Meno Mendoza.
