PBA: Magnolia boosts playoffs hopes with beatdown of Columbian

MANILA — Magnolia used a massive scoring run in the fourth quarter to cripple Columbian, 109-83, in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Ian Sangalang established the game for the Hotshots, shooting 7-out-of-15 from the field for 16 points to go with his 6 rebounds.

The win boosted Magnolia’s stock, fanning hopes to reach the quaterfinal round of the season opening tournament.

The Hotshots climbed to 3-4, while dealing the Dyip’s sixth defeat in 10 games.
