MANILA – Monsoon rains will persist over northern and central Luzon Sunday, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms brought by the southwest monsoon.
The rest of the country, meanwhile, will experience isolated rains due to localized thunderstorms.
A shallow brewing storm east of northern Luzon and another low-pressure area near west of northern Luzon were spotted but will not affect the country, PAGASA said.
Tropical storm Faxai (international name) sighted off the West Pacific is also unlikely to affect the country, it added.
