Sources earlier confirmed to ABS-CBN News that at least one other UAAP school has been recruiting Abando, even as the Season 82 men’s basketball tournament is in progress.
Abando is averaging 11.8 points per game for the Growling Tigers this year.
He was benched by Ayo in their game against University of the Philippines last Wednesday, with Abando in street clothes behind the UST bench.
Afterward, Ayo offered no explanation for the rising star’s benching.
